A choreographer, instructor, director, producer, consultant and more, Micaya is the C.E.O. of Micaya Presents, a non profit organization that provides high-quality dance production and education with an emphasis on diverse representation and community connectedness.

As the founder and artistic director of the iconic San Francisco International Hip Hop DanceFest, Micaya has curated prestigious hip hop dance artists companies from all over the globe. Since 1999, this award winning and landmark event has put San Francisco on the map for hosting world class dance artistry.

Micaya is also the director and choreographer of SoulForce Dance Company. Her choreography has been in music videos, commercials, touring productions, festivals, corporate events and more. Micaya's other yearly production, “Mission in the Mix” is a multidisciplinary presentation that features SoulForce and Bay Area performing artists.
